Modelo trans protagonista campaña en trajes de baño

La reconocida marca australiana Ziah decidió lanzar su nueva línea de trajes de baño y como modelo de la campaña colocaron Indya Moore, una chica trans. Y es que de acuerdo con Erika Toscano, diseñadora de la marca explicó que la finalidad de su propuesta es cuestionar los estándares estéticos de la marca.

“Concebí Ziah como una firma para mujeres que se sienten conectadas con los mundos del arte, el diseño y la arquitectura, pero también son tiempos líquidos en los que estamos cuestionando las estructuras rígidas que nos han sido impuestas por la sociedad”, señaló la diseñadora.

Por su parte, Indya Moore dijo que jamás pensó que podría ser la imagen de una marca para defender los derechos trans y aseguró sentirse poderosa, bella y agradecida con todo lo que significa este proyecto.

“Al crecer, mi personalidad y carácter no encajaban con mi sexo. Actuaba de un modo que mi familia consideraba ‘femenino’ y eso me afectó mucho”, contó.

Por si no lo sabías Indya Moore es una chica trans dedicada a su trabajo y cuya meta es siempre respetar al otro sin importar su orientación sexual. “Tenemos mucho que dar y por eso la puerta debe abrirse todavía más”.
